China’s major farming regions report strong progress for the 2025 spring season, driven by technology and strong policy support, aiming to secure another year of good harvests.

Smart Farming Takes Center Stage
Across the country, farmers are using more high-tech tools. Drones for spraying, soil sensors, and automated greenhouses are becoming common. These technologies help grow more food with less labor and water. The government says over 64% of farming growth now comes from new technology. Over 1 billion acres of high-standard farmland have been built to support these methods.
