Biosolutions of FMC has been introduced in the Brazilian market: the bioinsecticides Perovar and Evedar, and the soil biofungicide Cablar. the launches are part of a strategy of ″long-term innovation by investing in the combination of chemical and biological solutions.″
- The biological insecticide Evedar combines the fungi Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae in a formulation described by as ″innovative,″ offering effective control against important pests in Brazilian crops.
The list of insects controlled by Evedar includes sugarcane weevil (Sphenophorus levis), whitefly (Bemisia tabaci biotype B), two-spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae), coffee berry borer (Hypothenemus hampei), pasture spittlebug (Deois flavopicta), brown stink bug (Euchistos heros), and thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis).
- The bioinsecticide Perovar, consisting of the isolated fungus Metarhizium anisopliae, is recommended by the manufacturer for in-furrow application. According to FMC, Perovar is effective in controlling pests, such as the sugarcane spittlebug (Mahanarva fimbriolata) and the brown bug (Scaptocoris castanea).
Further, They points out that Perovar delivers ″effective and broad-spectrum protection, preserving soil health and favoring biological balance. Resistant to adverse conditions and compatible with various crop management strategies, Perovar is the resilient solution that protects plants at the most critical stage of development, delivering superior results in the field.″
- In the biofungicide portfolio, the new product is Cablar, described as a ″biological force that protects and regenerates the soil.″ The technology is formulated with a potent combination of two strains of Trichoderma (Trichoderma harzianum URM 8119 and Trichoderma asperellum URM 8120) and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens CCT 7901, designed to establish regenerative microbiota and act against soil and plant diseases.
Agricultural adjuvants combined with the three biopesticides listed above can achieve greater benefits.
- For Eveda, Organosilicone TIS-354 is recommended to enhance efficacy while preserving beneficial microbial flora and protecting crops.
- For Perovar and Cablar, soil wetting agent TIS-359 is recommended to accelerate the diffusion and penetration of the active ingredients into the soil during in-furrow applications.
